The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged victorious in all 21 local government areas and 226 wards in the Adamawa State local government elections, securing every chairmanship and councillorship seat contested across the state.

Chairman of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Mohammed Umar, announced the results on Monday, at the commission’s headquarters in Yola, after the completion of the collation of votes.
According to Umar, the elections were successfully conducted across the state’s 226 wards, with the PDP winning all chairmanship and councillorship positions.
“The elections were peacefully conducted across the state, and the PDP emerged winner in all the local government areas and wards,” he said.
The ADSIEC chairman, however, did not provide details of the total number of votes cast during the exercise.

The declaration of results was witnessed by security personnel, election observers, representatives of political parties, and members of the commission.
Umar commended the people of Adamawa State for their peaceful conduct before, during, and after the elections, noting that their cooperation contributed significantly to the success of the process.
He also praised security agencies and other stakeholders for their support in ensuring a smooth and orderly election.
The outcome further consolidates the PDP’s political control in Adamawa State, giving the party full control of all 21 local government councils and representation in all 226 wards across the state.
