A former Osun State Deputy Governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has submitted his nomination form, to contest the position of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretary, at the party’s forthcoming convention in Abuja, on March 26, 2022.
Omisore said, while submitting his form, that he looked forward to, as the party’s National Secretary, providing a perfectionist leadership at the secretariat through efficient and effective management of its affairs to the next level of prosperity and democracy.
He remarked: “During my tenure as APC National Secretary, I will help to ensure an atmosphere of peace, happiness, safety and plenty in Nigeria, The Trumpet gathered.
“I will institutionalize civility in the party’s affairs by leveraging technology for efficient party administration. While in office as APC National Secretary, I will help to create a people-driven party that will deepen democratic norms across board alongside party’s administration and capacity building.
I will also help run a political party that will not only win elections, but create the necessary bond required in an institution like the APC where everyone, will be recognized and respected for their many roles in aiding the growth and developments of the party from the grassroots.

“I will ensure proper and accountable party administration, make sure the party’s sustainable membership drive is maintained. I also intend to ensure collective ownership of the party, trusted team players, transparent and inclusive party administration”.
The seats of the APC National Secretary, National Vice-Chairman (South-West), National Youth Leader and Deputy National Auditor are to be shared among the states in the region, namely, Lagos, Ekiti, Osun, Ogun, Ondo and Oyo.
