The newly appointed technical adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote, has taken positives from the loss to Vandrezzer FC in Lagos.
Ogunbote attributed the loss to insufficient time to adequately prepare 3SC for the game.
According to the football gaffer, who is fondly dubbed the “Oracle”, the 1-0 loss to the Lagos-based club in a Group A match by Oluyole Warriors in the Value Jet Cup Preseason Tournament held at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, was taken in good faith.

“We only trained for two days before coming for this match and all I can say is that we are going to take the positives from this game as we progress in our build-up to the season,” the ex-Remo coach told the media in a post-match interview.
“We had a decent game in the first half but the second half was a bit low. We take the positive out of the game and come out good in the next game,” he added
Vandrezzer netted in the 53rd minute to secure a narrow win over 3SC. However, the latter aim to improve on their performances while taking positives from the loss to tackle Ijebu-United on Saturday.
