The Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria, (OGTAN) has recognized KEFFESO Host Community Development Trust (KHCDT) as the best in Human Capital Development in 2026.
The award was presented by OGTAN to KEFFESO at a ceremony held in Warri, Delta State, to recognise excellence in Nigeria’s energy sector.
The Executive Secretary of KHCDT, Dr Matthew Sele-Epri, received the award on behalf of the trust.
He was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of the Board, Dr Henry Amaegberi.
Sele-Epri described the recognition as an affirmation of the trust’s commitment to improving livelihoods in underserved host communities.
He said the award reflected KHCDT’s resolve to ensure that host communities derived meaningful benefits from available resources.
According to him, the recognition would further motivate the trust to deepen its interventions and respond to the aspirations of community members.
“We remain committed to delivering on our mandate and ensuring that the yearnings and legitimate expectations of our people are met,” he said.
Sele-Epri noted that the award came barely three years after the inauguration of the trust on Sept. 23, 2023.
