Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, as he marks his third coronation anniversary. The governor praised the monarch’s unwavering commitment to peace and prosperity in the Warri Kingdom.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori lauded Atuwatse III for fostering peaceful co-existence and spearheading economic revival since ascending the throne. He described the monarch as a “man of peace, a bridge-builder, and of profound integrity,” highlighting the significant impact Atuwatse III’s reign has had on his subjects and the broader kingdom.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I warmly congratulate His Majesty, the Olu of Warri, Atuwatse III, CFR, on his 3rd coronation anniversary,” Oborevwori stated. “The Itsekiri nation honours a great king, and we wish him strength, health, and wisdom as he continues to lead with distinction.”
The governor commended the Olu’s leadership in preserving the culture and traditions of the Iwere people, promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among different ethnic groups in Delta State. Oborevwori also called on the Olu’s subjects to remain patient and supportive, ensuring a brighter future for the Iwere nation.

Also, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, representing Delta South Senatorial District, joined in the celebration, emphasizing the positive impact of Atuwatse III’s reign on Itsekiriland. He wished the monarch continued health, wisdom, and success in his endeavours.
