The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Isoko Chapel, has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, following the death of his mother-in-law.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of NUJ Isoko Chapel, Comrade Michael Illaya, and the Secretary, Comrade Matthew Unyove, the union said it received the news of the passing of the senator’s mother-in-law with profound sadness.
“The leadership and entire members of Isoko Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists received with profound sadness the news of the passing of your beloved mother-in-law. Please accept our deepest and heartfelt condolences on this painful loss,” the statement read.
The union noted that its thoughts and prayers are with Senator Joel-Onowakpo, his wife, and the entire Idodo family during this difficult period.

The NUJ further urged the family to draw strength from the cherished memories of the deceased’s life and enduring legacy.
“May the cherished memories of her exemplary life, love, and legacy continue to comfort and strengthen your family in the days ahead.”
The union also assured the senator of its highest regards and deepest sympathy, praying for divine comfort for the bereaved family.
