The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Oluwaseun Falaye, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, commissioned an employees compensation scheme help desk at the office of the head of the civil service of the federation.
Falaye said the initiative reinforces the federal government’s commitment to the safety, welfare, and protection of civil servants, describing it as a major step in strengthening social security delivery within the public service.
He commended President Bola Tinubu for prioritising workers’ welfare and acknowledged the leadership of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, for supporting the initiative.
According to him, the help desk represents a structural transformation, ensuring that federal civil servants under treasury-funded MDAs are systematically integrated into the employees compensation scheme through a reliable framework.
He explained that the help desk will serve as a one-stop service hub providing information, guidance, and support on the scheme, including claims processing, issue resolution, and coordination with ministries, departments, and agencies.

“With this structure, we are delivering a system that is accessible, responsive, transparent, and efficient, ensuring that civil servants can serve with confidence knowing their welfare is protected,” he said.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, described the initiative as historic, noting that it marks a significant milestone in improving workers’ welfare.
She expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his support, emphasising that the development strengthens existing welfare structures for civil servants.
The event also featured the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the NSITF and the office of the head of service to enhance collaboration.
