Npower beneficiaries are excited about the reopening of the NSIPA account by the federal government, and are anxiously waiting for the payment of their nine months arrears of N30, 000 monthly grant by the federal government.
The beneficiaries have been agitating for the past two years for the payment of their monthly allowance, discontinued by the federal government over allegation of corruption in the implementation of the programme.
With the recent announcement of the reopening of the NSIPA account by the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, while flagging up a school feeding programme in Jere, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, most beneficiaries expressed the hope that payment will commence soon.
They took to their social media handles to express their expectations. A beneficiary, Chinyere Nke posted on her Facebook page: “To God be all the glory…they should start immediately.”
