Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo is to be laid to rest on June 18 in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State following his passing from metastatic kidney cancer on May 11 at the age of 40.

As arrangements intensify, emergency roadworks along key routes leading to the family residence have caused temporary disruptions to traffic flow.

According to the funeral programme, a wake-keeping will be held on June 17 at the family compound.

The final funeral service and interment are set to take place on June 18 at Mary Slessor School in Arochukwu.
