
Chairman, Edo State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Inanigie Abudu, said the body would commence collaboration with the state government in its chains of sustainable programmes in the communities.
He disclosed this at the handing over ceremony of the outgone executives to the newly elected team in Benin City.
Inanigie in his acceptance speech, said: “There is going to be advocacy and public enlightenment. We are going to partner with the government to ensure that the advocacy is taken seriously.”
The new NITP chairman extolled his predecessor, Hope Iyawe, for ensuring that the association had a sound footing by initiating several laudable projects in the state.

A member of the association, Joshua Akin Olorunfemi, commended Iyawe for his achievements and charged the new officers to ensure that all members were carried along in the activities of the association.
The former chairman, Iyawe, had earlier, enumerated his team’s achievements in office and thanked members for their support.
Members of the new executives led by Inanigie, include Dr Adegboyega Maiseyi Collins (Vice Chairman); Lucky Unuirode Okao (General Secretary); Kelly Ugiagbe (Treasurer); Kingsley Esan Akhigbe (Financial Secretary); Bernard Oshiemokhai (Public Relations Officer) and George Osagiede (Auditor).
