Nigeria U19 Boys aim to win their third consecutive African U19 title in the U19 Boys African Nations Championships in Morocco.
The tourney which starts, on Friday, September 2, is scheduled to end on Saturday, September 8, 2022.
According to the U19 coach Adekalu Adeniyi of Sunshine club, who is assisted by Vincent Unogwu of Kada Emeralds club, his team can not afford to go below the previous standard set by previous Nigeria U19 teams that have won the nation laurels.
Adeniyi recounted the successes of previous U19 Boys teams in which he was the assistant coach and reiterated his desire to see Nigeria become the first Sub-Sahara team to win the tournament three times successively.

“Nigeria want to make history by becoming the first Sub Saharan African country to win the African title three times in a row,” the coach said.
“While I was the assistant coach, Nigeria won it twice. Now that I am the head coach, I want to win it again.
“The boys are motivated for the African Championship and we hope to make the country proud,” Adeniyi added.
