The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has decided to send its team of medical experts to Italy to ascertain the claims by Napoli over the medical fitness of Victor Osimhen.
This may lead to a clash if the country’s assessment report defers from that of his club The Trumpet gathered.
The decision became important to the country after the Italian football club, S.S.C Napoli, resolved to keep their prolific striker on the sidelines for two months which has sparked up reactions from Nigerians over his intending absence from the 2021 African Cup of Nations during the period of the tournament.

According to Il Mattino.it, the Nigerian forward who recently resumed training with his football club, having suffered an injury of the left cheekbone and orbital fracture in a Serie A game between Napoli and Inter Milan on November 21, is a subject of conflict between his country and Partenopei.
It is on the knowledge of his quick return that the Nigeria national team is eager to have the striker back on the action in next year’s 33rd edition of AFCON taking place in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6.
