The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said it would announce to Nigerians the name of the new coach of the Super Eagles after it finalises all processes comprising contractual agreement and contract signing.

NFF made this known in its recent report released by the Director of Media and Communications, Ademola Olajire, regarding the appointment of new coaches for the national football teams.

The new coaches who were recommended by the NFF Technical and Development Sub-Committee to the Executive Committee, are to manage the Super Eagles B, U20 national team, Golden Eaglets, and U13/15 team The Trumpet gathered.

According to Nigeria’s football governing body, Salisu Yusuf will take charge of the Super Eagles B (otherwise known as CHAN team) as well as the U23 (Olympics) team, as the head coach and will be assisted by Kennedy Boboye (Assistant Coach); Fatai Osho (Assistant Coach); Abubakar Bala Mohammed (Assistant Coach); Fidelis Ikechukwu (Assistant Coach); Eboboritse Uwejamomere (Match Analyst), Ike Shorounmu (Goalkeepers’ Trainer) and Suleiman Shuaibu (Goalkeepers’ Trainer 2).

In other appointments, Ladan Bosso retains his position as Head Coach of the U20 Boys. He will work with former U17 Head Coach, Fatai Amao (Assistant Coach); Oladuni Oyekale (Assistant Coach); Jolomi Atune Alli (Assistant Coach), and; Baruwa Olatunji Abideen (Goalkeepers’ Trainer).

He will work with Ahmad Lawal Dankoli (Assistant Coach); Omoniyi Haruna Ilerika (Assistant Coach); Yemi Daniel (Assistant Coach) and; Mohammed Nasiru Isah (Goalkeepers’ Trainer). Ugbade captained Nigeria’s first cadet team that won the FIFA U16 World Cup in China in 1985.

Meanwhile, NFF also appointed Patrick Bassey as the Head Coach of the U13/15 Boys known as Future Eagles, and will be assisted by Abdullahi Tyabo Umar; Mohammed Kalli Kachalla; Ifeanyi Uba; Alh. Mohammed Kwairanga and; Abubakar Abdullahi as goalkeepers’ trainer.

It is noteworthy that Yusuf in 2018, was the Head Coach of the Super Eagles B when the team emerged runner-up in the African Nations Championship in Morocco.

Prior to this appointment, the NFF executive committee in a communique had on April 5, 2022, mandated the Technical and Development Sub-committee to “within the next five days” recommend a new coaching crew for the Super Eagles.
