Sheriff Tiraspol have signed Nigerian forward Iyayi Atimven from Croatian club Dynamo Zagreb after his fellow compatriot Rashid Akanbi was signed and unveiled on the club website in June 27.
According to the Moldovan club, the Nigerian forward signed an agreement after he passed his medical to become part and parcel of the club plans.
In the club statement, the 26-year-old who started his European football career in Cyprus for Dogan TBSK after he moved from Nigeria, joined different clubs in Croatia like Gorica, Lokomokiv, and Dynamo Zagreb.
Iyayi during his footballing campaign in Croatia, performed superbly to be adored a champion after winning the Croatian top-tier league with Dynamo Zagreb.
Also last season, the former Bendel Insurance striker played 4 matches in the qualification of the Europa League and 6 matches in the group stage of the League of Conferences for the Cypriot Omonia.
Earlier in the week, the Moldovan club captured Nigerian Centre-forward, Rashid Akandi, who is glad to make the move from Turkey’s second-tier club, Kocaelispor to Sheriff Tiraspol.

The player, who featured 29 times, scoring 7 goals last season coupled with 2 assists in Turkey Lig 1, revealed that he never gave much consideration to the club’s offer before accepting it.
“Sheriff has a good and well-known reputation,” Akanbi said on the club website.
“Yes, it means a lot to me, the Tiraspol club has a good and well-known reputation. A lot of people want to be in this club.
“This is a major step forward in my career. The opportunity presented itself to develop and at the same time raise the club to a higher level, thanks to my individual contribution,” the Nigerian forward stated.
Sheriff Tiraspol won the Moldovan Cup last season after they defeated Sfintul Gheor 1-0 in the final to gain automatic qualification to next season’s Champions League.
