Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of France international Bradley Barcola in a deal worth up to £123 million.
The Premier League champions are understood to have agreed to pay an initial £106 million for the 23-year-old forward, with a further £17 million in potential add-ons.
PSG had initially placed a £145 million valuation on Barcola, but Liverpool were able to negotiate a lower package for the highly-rated attacker.
Barcola is expected to undergo a medical this weekend before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract at Anfield.
The Frenchman, who is naturally right-footed but primarily operates from the left wing, is expected to further strengthen Liverpool’s attacking options.
His possible arrival could also raise questions over the future of Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo, who has attracted reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola, however, has indicated that he wants Gakpo to remain at the club, despite admitting that he cannot guarantee the future of any player.
“[Gakpo] has been very good since he came back from the World Cup and his holiday, with a very good attitude,” Iraola said ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Nottingham Forest.
“I hope we can keep him at that level because I think he has been very influential in our games.”
Liverpool are also believed to be searching for another right-sided attacker, having explored potential moves for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr.
Barcola has emerged as a major target for the Reds as they seek to rebuild their attacking department following the departures of Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah over the past two summers.
The France international joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a reported £38.5 million and has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell in the French capital.
During his time at PSG, Barcola won three Ligue 1 titles, two UEFA Champions League trophies, two French Cups, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
The proposed transfer fee also includes Liverpool covering a solidarity payment PSG reportedly owe Lyon from the winger’s move to Paris three years ago.
Barcola scored three goals for France at this summer’s World Cup and offers versatility across the frontline, with the ability to play on either wing or through the middle.
His arrival could also provide Liverpool with additional cover in attack while Alexander Isak remains available and Hugo Ekitike continues his recovery from a serious Achilles injury.
Liverpool had reportedly identified Barcola as a priority signing after Yan Diomande opted to join Real Madrid earlier in the transfer window.

The deal, if completed, could become a record transfer fee for a player leaving Ligue 1.
PSG, meanwhile, are expected to make a significant profit on a player they signed for about £38 million and who is entering the final two years of his contract.
The French champions also have several attacking options following the arrivals of Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts, while Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remain key figures in their attacking setup.
For Liverpool, Barcola’s potential arrival would add another high-profile name to an attack that already includes Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz as the Reds continue their ambitious squad rebuilding.
