Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has opened up about why religious differences did not prevent him from marrying his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade (Mo Bimpe), saying that his peace of mind mattered more than religious affiliation.
Speaking during an interview with Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the award-winning actor revealed that he once vowed never to marry someone in the entertainment industry.
However, he said life took an unexpected turn when he met Mo Bimpe.
According to Lateef, although he is a Muslim and his wife is a Christian, he chose to prioritize love, peace, and mutual understanding over religious differences.
“I promised never to marry someone from my industry, but God had better plans. I am a Muslim, she’s a Christian. It didn’t matter to me because the most important thing before religion is my peace,” he said.

The actor disclosed that Mo Bimpe initially had reservations about their relationship. However, he insisted on meeting her father, a step he said helped strengthen their bond and eventually led to their marriage.
Lateef also addressed speculation surrounding children frequently seen in photos shared on social media.
He clarified that the images circulating online were generated using artificial intelligence and are not pictures of their alleged triplets.
“Those children you are seeing with us on social media are not the faces of our triplets because it’s AI. When we are ready, we will reveal their faces,” he explained.
His comments have sparked conversations on social media, with many fans praising the couple for demonstrating that love, respect, and understanding can transcend religious differences.
The interview has also renewed public interest in the couple’s relationship, which continues to attract admiration from fans within and outside the Nigerian entertainment industry.
