At least four persons were reportedly abducted while a vigilante member was killed during a late-night attack by suspected kidnappers in Byazin Across, Kubwa, within the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Residents said the incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday when the armed assailants invaded the community and began shooting sporadically, throwing residents into panic.
A vigilante member who reportedly confronted the attackers was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire.
Witnesses said the gunmen operated for several minutes before whisking away no fewer than four residents to an unknown destination.

“The kidnappers came around 1 a.m. and started shooting. One of the vigilante members was killed while trying to stop them. They took away at least four people,” the source said.
