The principal of Community High School, Esiele, in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mrs. Alamu, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde to negotiate with the abductors holding teachers and students captive rather than using force.

In a viral video released after 14 days in captivity, the principal claimed that a recent security operation allegedly worsened the situation and endangered the lives of the victims.
According to her, one of the abductees was reportedly marked for possible execution following the attempted rescue effort.
“I’m begging the government, President Tinubu and the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to please help us and dialogue with these people. They should not use force. The force they used yesterday has caused us so much pain and added to our problems.
“In fact, one of us has been picked and they said they are going to kill him because the government tried to rescue us by force. We want you to call them and dialogue with them,” she said emotionally in the video.
Mrs. Alamu urged authorities to establish communication with the kidnappers to ensure the safe release of the abducted teachers and students.
Gunmen had reportedly attacked Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Oriire Local Government Area, abducting several teachers and students.
The incident has continued to generate public concern, with calls mounting on security agencies and the government to intensify efforts toward securing the victims’ safe release.
