The Taraba state Government has announced that plans to partner with the Spanish football outfit have been concluded.
Making the announcement through the Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Joseph Joshua, yesterday via the Commissioner’s Facebook account, the government, according to the Commissioner, have identified LALIGA, as the Spanish football outfit it has gone into partnership with.
The football outfit, as made known by him, has also signified its interest and readiness to partner with the ministry and the state at large.
The meeting and the partnership agreement, he said, have been held in Lagos state, expressing delight at the proposed collaboration.
He pledged the commitment of the State governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, who, according to him, is vehemently interested in developing sports, mostly football.
Describing the partnership with LALIGA as a commendable one, he urged the people of the state, especially the football fans to throw their weights behind the ministry and the state government, to catapult the round lethal game to the height in the state.
Aligning his weight to that of the Commissioner, the Projects and Communications Manager for LALIGA Nigeria, Ayodeji Adegbenro, reiterated LALIGA’s commitment to the development of football in Nigeria.
The Manager, who stated that they are always on the lookout for the right partners to collaborate with, said they have partnered with the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the National Women’s League (NWFL) and have done a lot in terms of football development at the grassroot and elite level.
He expressed excitement at the prospect of the partnership with the state government, affirming that a lot would be achieved.
