Following a prolonged strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kaduna Taskforce has called on students of respective schools to assemble on the 21st September 2022, for the total shut down of the Kaduna-Abuja road.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the students’ Taskforce Chairman, Comrade Dominic Philip said the protest which would start on Wednesday, Sept, 21,2022, would begin from Kaduna expressway and end at Gonin Gora by Federal cooperative college, Kaduna.
Following this, he invited all National Excos, Zonal Excos in Kaduna, JCC Executives, SUG’s/ SRC Executives, Parents, good-spirited countrymen and women, and gentlemen of the press to all present.

However, the Kaduna State Government, on Tuesday night, warned against danger associated with such protest as Kaduna, being a fragile state, is noted to spark fire during a protest.
The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan said in a statement that the planned action by any groups or individuals is unacceptable, adding
“Citizens may kindly be reminded that collective security should remain the first and most important consideration at all times. Individuals, unions and other groups are therefore urged to note this advisory for strict compliance.”
Though the students’ leadership told newsmen on Tuesday night that nothing would stop the mobilisation of students for a shut down on Kaduna-Abuja road today, it’s yet to be seen whose power and authority are superior, as eagle eyes are watching in today’s episode of NANS’ action in Kaduna
