The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has joined Nigerians in celebrating the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, reflecting on Nigeria’s transformation and the role of technology in its development.

In a message shared on Thursday, the examination body said Nigeria had undergone significant changes since gaining independence, with technological advancement becoming an important part of the country’s transformation.
JAMB drew a connection between Nigeria’s development and changes in its own examination system, particularly its transition from the traditional pen-and-paper format to computer-based testing.
“From pen and paper to keyboards and screens, Nigeria has evolved, and JAMB has evolved with her,” the board said.
The examination body said Independence Day offered an opportunity to reflect on the progress recorded by the country while considering the possibilities that lie ahead.
“As we celebrate another year of independence, we honour how far we’ve come and look ahead to all that is still possible,” JAMB added.
