Isoko Development Union Youth Wing worldwide under the leadership of Comrade Iraroraina Obokpaino on the 31st of December, 2023 at the All Soul Anglican Church Irri, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State gave thanks to God for the success of the maiden edition of Okugbe Isoko Youth Economic summit.
Speaking to newsmen after the thanksgiving Service the President of the IDU Youth Wing said in Psalm 136 vs 6 “We are giving thanks to him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endrureth forever”.
According to him “We are here to appreciate God Almighty, especially for the success of the maiden edition of the Okugbe Isoko Youth Economic Summit and his protection upon our life and family, he is the only one who made the event successful”.
“He has taken us thus far, he is the one that blesses and no man can curse, he has kept us till today. We must give him all the praise and glory for all the good things he has done for us”.
He also stated that, after he emerged as the President of IDU Youth Wing, there was turbulence and temptation, but by the special Grace of God Almighty his administration has moved from glory to glory.
Comrade Obokpaino also thanked the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District Sen. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and the Member Representing Isoko South and North Federal Constituency Hon. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko for their unflinching support towards the maiden edition of the Okugbe Isoko Youth Economic Summit.
Earlier, the Bishop of the Oleh Diocese of the Anglican communion Rt. Rev. John Usiwoma Aruakpor admonished the I.D.U Youth Wing to continue to seek the face of God for guidance.
According to him “We have not experienced it like this. This is a youth body I have been following their event from the day of the election of your leadership. You have distinguished yourselves in your activities and going the ways of the lord is commendable. I am going to partner with you from time to time. Set a day aside every year to give quality praise to God”, he added.
The highlight of the Thanksgiving Service was the donation of 120 bags of cement by the IDU Youth Wing to the All Soul Anglican Church, Irri.
