Gunmen kidnap vigilante leader in Anambra

Gunmen have kidnapped vigilante chairman, Kachi Ilodigwe, at Etiti Village, Ukwulu Town in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The Trumpet gathered that the victim was abducted by the gunmen at his house entrance on Sunday. A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the vigilante leader was abducted at the entrance of his house while coming back from his daily activities.

The gunmen were busy shooting sporadically in the village during the operations. The source said that no contact has been established with the kidnappers.

The source who confirmed this said: “They pointed a gun at him, shot into the air and put him into their car.”

Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the state Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Toochukwu Ikenga, proved abortive as at press time.
