A group of Lawyers under the aegis of Legal Alliance have donated food items to Lutheran Church Children’s Home at Ikot Otong Nsit in Nsit Ibom local government area to mark the 60th birthday of Pastor Umo Eno in Akwa Ibom state.
Food items presented to the Children’s Home include Bags of Garri, Rice, Toiletries, Soft drinks, Cartons of Indomie noodles, vegetable oil, food spices and Exercise Books.
Eno had earlier told friends and supporters to use his birthday for donations to Orphanage Homes instead of inundating the Government House with Gifts on his birthday.
Speaking during the presentation of the food items to inmates of Lutheran Church Children’s Home, the Coordinator of Lawyers Alliance Project Barr Ememobong Nicholas described Eno as a good man of God who cares for others especially the less privileged in society.
Nicholas recalled that Eno had instructed friends and well wishes to use his birthday to donate to the downtrodden in the communities adding they were just there at the orphanage home as instructed.
” The governor had directed that all gifts to him on his birthday should be sent to Orphanage Home.

” Legal Alliance For Umo Eno as a support group decided to buy into that project. Today, we are here at Ikot Otong Nsit to visit the children.
” From today which is the governor’s birthday, the lives of these children have changed. It shows that he is a caring governor. Many groups have done it and we didn’t want to be left out.
Nicholas who stormed the Children’s Home with his colleagues in the legal profession assured them that they could become anything in life such as Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers and other professions of their choice adding they should work hard to change or manifest their destinies in life.
The group promised to visit the Children’s Home always not only on the occasion of the governor’s birthday but to check on them and confirm how they are fairing at all times.
” We will come back to check on you We won’t be here only on the governor’s birthday alone. You are favoured kids,” he said.
