
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state on Thursday has sworn in two new Senior Special Assistants and a Special Assistant.
They are Princess Nkechinyere Iyioku, SSA, Her Excellency’s Office, Honourable Oby Oko Enyim, SSA Culture and Tourism and Honourable Douglas Omebe, Special Assistant on Legal Services.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Executive Council Chambers, Ochoudo Centenary City, New Government House, Abakaliki.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Umahi congratulated the appointees and charged them to join hands to consolidate the Divine Mandate Administration in the State.
“I enjoin you to join us to consolidate our Divine Mandate administration and to enthrone another Divine Mandate administration.”

In an acceptance Speech, the new Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism, Honourable Oby Oko Enyim, on behalf of others thanked the Governor for finding them worthy to serve in their various capacities and pledged to deliver on their assignments.
“Your Excellency we are here to complement your administration, we have never disappointed before, and we will not disappoint you now.”
The Governor at the event also assigned portfolios to the former Chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area, Chief Emmanuel Nwangele as SSA Capital City and former Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area, Honourable Paul Nwogha as SSA Solid Minerals. The duo had earlier been sworn in on October 1st.
