Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to mobilise strongly in support of President Bola Tinubu, ahead of the party’s presidential primary scheduled for Saturday.
The governor made the appeal during a visit to APC founding leader in Delta State on Friday, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, at his residence in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Speaking to party stakeholders, Gov. Oborevwori expressed confidence in the strength of the APC structure in Delta State, stating that the party has the capacity to deliver overwhelming support for the President.
He disclosed that the APC in Delta currently boasts over 470,000 registered members, adding that the party is targeting no fewer than 390,000 affirmation votes for Tinubu in the upcoming exercise.
The governor also referenced his own political experience within the party, noting that he previously emerged as the sole governorship candidate with over 345,000 votes, and argued that the president deserves even greater backing.

He further emphasised the importance of consultation, unity and respect for party elders in building a winning political organisation.
