“In every organization, the reward for hard work is usually elevation to the next rank, and these gentlemen, just like every other officers of the Nigerian Police Force, have been found worthy and they have performed excellently well in the last three-four years and were considered on the recommendation of the inspector general of police to be promoted to a new rank.
“That is why today, we have come to conclude what the inspector- general started by decorating them to their new rank. The reward for hard work is more work; they will say the higher you go the cooler it becomes. In the Nigerian Police Force, the higher your go, the more responsibility that is added onto you.
“The inspector-general of police has directed that for all promoted officers, he actually congratulate all of them but he has also enjoined them to rededicate themselves to the service of out fatherland so that at the next round of promotion, they will also be found worthy again because it is demoted.
“We are also one of the institutions that also punish those who have not done well, so his advice is simple, work hard and you will be rewarded.”
Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, CSP Omoarebun Iluobe, expressed gratitude for the promotion and pledged their unwavering commitment to their duties.
