Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has assured vice chairmen of the 21 local government areas in Adamawa State that all their entitlements and benefits would be fully paid before the end of their tenure in office.
Gov. Fintiri gave the assurance while receiving members of the Association of Vice Chairmen of Local Government Areas at the Government House in Yola.
The governor stressed that no official who served faithfully under his administration would be denied their rightful benefits after leaving office.
He also assured those who may not return to office after the expiration of their tenure that government would continue to accommodate and support them through appointments and other opportunities to contribute to governance.

The governor further explained that the decision of his administration to appoint women as vice chairmen across the 21 local government areas was a deliberate effort, aimed at promoting inclusive governance and strengthening grassroots participation.
According to him, the initiative has proved successful and is now being replicated by other states across the country.
He also urged the vice chairmen and party members to remain committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and work towards ensuring victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Earlier, the Association of Vice Chairmen of Local Government Areas in Adamawa State commended Gov. Fintiri for his inclusive leadership style and commitment to grassroots development.
Speaking on behalf of the association during the appreciation visit, Sara Samuel, Vice Chairman of Yola North Local Government Area, said the governor had demonstrated people-oriented leadership by carrying local government officials, women, and youths along in governance.

She noted that his open-door policy and support for local government administration had given vice chairmen across the state a stronger sense of belonging and enabled them to contribute meaningfully to grassroots development.
The association also appreciated the governor for investing in the growth and capacity building of local government leaders through workshops, training programmes, and sponsored trips.
According to the delegation, some vice chairmen benefited from international exposure, including visits to the Holy Land, which broadened their leadership experience and strengthened their capacity to represent Adamawa State effectively.
