Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has directed the Adamawa State Civil Service Commission to implement outstanding promotions for civil servants, including all related financial benefits, before the end of May 2026.
The directive was issued during a meeting with officials of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Tuesday, where the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving workers’ welfare and ensuring career progression across the state.

The decision is expected to boost morale within the public service, particularly among employees who have long awaited promotion and corresponding entitlements.
Labour leaders, in response, commended the governor for the move and pledged continued support for his administration.
They also welcomed his assurance that future leadership in the state would sustain policies that prioritise the welfare of workers.
