The governor also highlighted the recent increase in corps members’ monthly allowance, noting that the measure was introduced to cushion the effects of the current economic challenges. He added that construction of a new NYSC orientation camp is ongoing and that corps members would soon be relocated to the new facility.

Corps members were encouraged to take advantage of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, which the government described as a critical tool for fostering self-reliance and job creation.

In her remarks, the Adamawa State NYSC Coordinator, Osoroh Caroline Chinedu, who represented the NYSC Director-General, described the orientation course as a vital stage of national service. She commended the corps members for their discipline and active participation since the commencement of the exercise.

Chinedu also appreciated the support of Governor Fintiri, particularly for the ongoing camp construction and the consistent payment of the enhanced allowance.

Some of the newly sworn-in corps members expressed excitement over their deployment to Adamawa, describing the state as hospitable and friendly. They pledged to contribute meaningfully to the state’s development during their service year.
