Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has been nominated for the Distinguished Award for Excellence in Sustainable Development and Community Empowerment at the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).
The prestigious ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
His nomination was conveyed in an official letter signed by M. S. Danjuma, Permanent Secretary (General Services Office), on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
At the ceremony, President Bola Tinubu, will personally present the award.
The event is organised by The Best Strategic Media (TBS) in collaboration with the office of the secretary to the government of the federation.
This national recognition underscores Gov. Eno’s strong commitment to sustainable development, community empowerment, and inclusive governance.
It also highlights the impact of his agenda, particularly in rural development, agriculture, security support, public service efficiency, and social upliftment across Akwa Ibom State.
In just two years in office, Gov. Eno has become one of Nigeria’s most decorated serving governors, receiving multiple awards for good governance, transparency, infrastructure growth, media openness, and people-centred leadership.
