A former senator who represented Borno Central Senatorial District, Senator Kaka Yale, has died.
Yale reportedly passed away on Friday morning at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital in Maiduguri, Borno State, where he had been receiving medical treatment.
His death was confirmed by one of his sons, Ibrahim Yale, who disclosed the development during a telephone conversation.
“Yes, I am his biological son. Our father, Kaka Yale, died today, Friday,” Ibrahim said.

Senator Yale represented Borno Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2011.
He was elected on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and served during a significant period in Nigeria’s democratic journey.
Details surrounding his burial and other funeral arrangements were yet to be officially announced as of the time of filing this report.
