Fintiri applauds Saudi Arabia’s bilateral ties with Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa state, has applauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for deepening bilateral ties with the state.

He gave the appreciation during a meeting with a delegation from the Royal Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria, held in Yola, the state capital.

Highlighting the longstanding amicable relations between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, Governor Fintiri emphasized the importance of further enhancing these ties for the mutual benefit of both countries’ citizens.

Specifically acknowledging Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to facilitating the visa process for Nigerian pilgrims, especially those from Adamawa, Governor Fintiri extended his heartfelt thanks for the timely issuance of visas.

The governor who spoke through the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Awwal Tukur, expressed gratitude for the delegation’s visit and assured continued efforts from Adamawa State to bolster the existing relations.

Addressing the gathering, the leader of the delegation, Malam Ahmad Idris, underscored the purpose of their visit as an expression of appreciation to Governor Fintiri for his efforts in nurturing the ties between Adamawa State and Saudi Arabia.

Malam Idris, who also serves as the Public Relations Officer of the Consulate office in Kano, conveyed the Consul General Khalil Ahmed Admawi’s gesture of presenting fifty cartons of dates as a token of goodwill to the Adamawa Government.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Malam Idris disclosed plans for the Consul General’s upcoming visit to Adamawa, aimed at further solidifying the bilateral relations between the two regions.
