The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the next stage of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, directing applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) to verify their status on the board’s recruitment portal.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Secretary to the board, Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (rtd.), the CDCFIB said the next phase of the exercise will involve physical screening and document verification for shortlisted candidates.

According to the board, applicants who sat for the online CBT conducted in November 2025 are expected to visit the official recruitment portal from Monday, June 15, to Friday, June 19, 2026, to check their application status.

The board stated that candidates should log into the portal using the application number generated during their initial registration.

It explained that applicants who are successfully shortlisted will be required to upload relevant credentials and select their preferred date and venue for the physical screening exercise.

“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board wishes to inform the general public, especially applicants for the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, of its plan to move to the next stage of the exercise, which is physical screening and document verification,” the statement read.

The board urged applicants to carefully follow all instructions provided on the recruitment portal to ensure a smooth screening process.

CDCFIB also reiterated that the recruitment exercise remains completely free of charge and warned candidates against making payments to individuals or groups claiming to offer assistance.

“The recruitment process is completely free. No fee should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group or organisation claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venue, or final selection,” the board stated.

It further cautioned members of the public against fake recruitment messages, fraudulent links and unauthorised persons claiming to represent the board.

The board advised applicants to rely only on information published on its official recruitment portal and approved communication channels for updates regarding the exercise.

CDCFIB reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, credible and merit-based recruitment process in line with existing regulations guiding public service recruitment.
