Hon. Festus Akingbaso a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly has declared interest in contesting the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency Seat and donated 400 bags of rice and cash gift to the people.
The lawmaker made his ambition known on Thursday during his visitation to leaders of the main opposition party in the state, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and he was warmly welcomed by the Party members, particularly by the youths and women in Ibule community in Akure, the state capital.
Speaking with journalists immediately after meeting with the leaders of PDP in Ifedore Local Government, said his declaration was sparked by the desire to serve humanity.
He however expressed readiness to fulfill and to provide more dividends of democracy to the people while urging the leaders to drum support for his ambition.
While promising their backing, the party chieftain led by a former Accountant General, Dr. Lawrence Olayiwola, satisfied Akingbaso of the party’s massive support.
