Turkish Süper Lig giant Fenerbahce have turned to Nigeria Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho to bolster their attacking option in the 2022-2023 season.
From a report, the technical committee of Fenerbahce recommended Iheanacho, who plays for Leicester City in the Premier League, as a prime target before the summer window closes.
According to Futbol Meydani, the Super Eagles striker has been on the radar of Yellow Canaries who are desperately in need of a top scorer.
Following the above, negotiations between both clubs have started in earnest to conclude a loan move for the striker before the transfer window draws its curtain.
Corroborating the above report, another report from England confirms that the Turkish topflight club has entered into a negotiation with Leicester for the 25-year-old whose contract with the Foxes subsists until 2024.
The Yellow Canaries need Iheanacho on a season-long loan with an option to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
Kelechi Iheanacho joined Leicester from Manchester City in 2017 circa €27m where he has netted 73 career goals in 246 appearances in all competitions, including 25 Premier League goals for the Foxes in 124 appearances.
Reports have it that feelers from the meeting between both clubs have been positive.
