Nigeria’s Falconets will face England’s Young Lionesses on Thursday for a place in the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Falconets Prepare for England Clash
Nigeria booked their place in the knockout stage with an emphatic 10-1 victory over New Caledonia in their final Group F match.
The result saw the Falconets finish second in the group behind Spain, following a 2-0 defeat to Spain and a goalless draw against China PR in their opening matches.
Coach Moses Aduku will again rely on Nigeria’s attacking players, including SL Benfica forward Janet Akekoromowei, who impressed during the victory over New Caledonia.

Winner Onajite David scored a hat-trick in the encounter, while Ramotalahi Kareem was also among the goalscorers as Nigeria produced a dominant second-half display.
England Reach Round of 16
England secured their place in the Round of 16 after finishing third in Group B behind Brazil.
The Young Lionesses opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Canada before recording a 5-1 victory over Tanzania.
They then suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brazil in their final group match.
England finished above Canada on goals scored after both teams ended the group stage with the same number of points.
Quarter-Final Ticket at Stake
The winner of the Falconets vs England clash will advance to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The winner will face either hosts Poland or Colombia in the last eight.
Both Nigeria and England will therefore be aiming to produce a strong performance in the Round of 16 as they seek to continue their campaign in the tournament.
