The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) has made a commitment to deliver a free, fair, and credible local government election on September 21, 2024. This assurance was made by the ENSIEC Executive Chairman, Professor Christian Ngwu, during the opening of a three-day workshop in Enugu aimed at preparing electoral facilitators.
The training, organized by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in collaboration with USAID and UKAID, is designed to equip Master Trainers with essential skills for managing the upcoming local government elections. Professor Ngwu emphasized the importance of the workshop, urging participants to take their roles seriously as they will be responsible for training electoral ad-hoc staff across the state.
