Edo Queens, on Friday, qualified for the quarter-finals of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT) after topping Group B with 6 points.
The team secured maximum points so far after defeating Royal Queens by a lone goal.
The goal from Yemisi Samuel, at the 81-minute at Western Boys High School Mini-Stadium in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, sealed the team’s qualification to the next round.
In Group C, the match between Naija Ratels and Fortress Ladies at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) Sports Complex, on Friday afternoon, ended 2 – 0 in favour of Naija Ratels. With the win, the team leads Group C with 3 points.

Motunrayo Ezekiel of Naija Ratels opened the score-line in the 20th minute, while Emmanuel Hope added a second goal in the 64th minute to seal the victory.
Earlier in the day, FC Robo Queens locked horns with Nasarawa Amazons at UNIBEN Sports Complex. Nasarawa Amazons won the match with a lone goal scored by Dooshima Tarnum in the 86th minute.
The match between Delta Queens and Heartland Queens played at the Western Boys High School Mini-Stadium in Ikpoba-Okha LGA ended 2- 0 in favour of Delta Queens. The two goals were scored by Mercy Omokwo and Chinaza Agor respectively.
