Eberechi Eze lit up the North London derby with a hat trick that broke a three decade drought for Arsenal, guiding his side to a commanding 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur and opening a clear six point gap at the top of the Premier League.
The match began at a cautious pace as Tottenham held their shape for more than half an hour, but Arsenal broke through with a surge that changed the night. Leandro Trossard struck first from close range before Eze, signed from Tottenham in the summer, doubled the lead moments before the interval.
Seconds into the second half, Eze struck again with a clean finish from the edge of the area. Tottenham briefly lifted their hopes when Richarlison caught David Raya off his line with a long lob from near the halfway line, though it did little to unsettle Arsenal’s rhythm. Eze completed his hat trick in the seventy sixth minute with another composed effort that settled the contest and underlined his rising influence in the league.

The victory extends Arsenal’s unbeaten streak to nine matches and strengthens their pursuit of a first league title in more than twenty years. Chelsea remain second with twenty three points. Tottenham’s first away defeat of the season drops them to ninth with eighteen points.
Arsenal now turn to the Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich on November twenty six, while Spurs head to Paris for a difficult night against PSG.
Mikel Arteta described the win as a proud moment. He praised Eze’s performance, noting the rarity of such a feat in this fixture and suggesting the forward could have added even more goals. He said the squad showed maturity, control and patience and he urged them to keep their focus as the season moves forward.
