Dennis Osadebay University (DOU), Asaba, is set to establish the DOU Business School following the completion of the mandate of the committee constituted to develop the academic and operational framework for the proposed institution.
The committee, chaired by Professor Kelly-Bryan Ovie Ejumudo, submitted its report to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Samuel Ovuete Aghalino, marking a major step towards the commencement of the DOU Business School.

In its report, the committee developed curricula for postgraduate programmes leading to Graduate Diploma, Master’s, Executive Master’s and Doctoral degrees across seven disciplines.
The disciplines include Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Human Resource Management and Public Administration.
The committee also developed an Executive Certificate Programme, reviewed the proposed fee structure and prepared a five-year financial projection to provide a sustainable financial framework for the operation of the Business School.
DOU Business School to Expand Postgraduate Education
Ejumudo expressed optimism that the proposed DOU Business School would broaden the university’s postgraduate offerings and strengthen its position in business and management education.
According to him, the Business School would provide a platform for professionals, entrepreneurs, administrators and other stakeholders to acquire advanced knowledge and competencies required to respond effectively to the demands of a rapidly changing economy.
He said the initiative would further expand access to specialised postgraduate and executive education while enhancing the university’s contribution to human capital development and professional capacity building.
