The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda S. Olufemi has directed the Divisional Police officer in charge of Ugolo, to fish out Mr. Eruteyan Eradajaye in connection with the death of one Sam Onobraigbeye in Adagbrasa, Ugolo community, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.
The directive was contained in a short video by the state police spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, revealing that the police were already on top of the matter.
Recalled that on Thursday, 12th September, the said Mr. Eruteyan Eradajaye was fired from his position as Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Special Duties, by Governor Sheriff Oborewori via a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu.
It was gathered that the termination of the appointment of Eruteyan was not short of his alleged involvement in the murder of one Sam Onobraigbeye.
Edafe said, “Regarding the death of one Sam Onobraigbeye, a representative of the sand beach in Adagbrasa, Ugolo community in Okpe local government area of the state, on the 6th of September 2024, the command has been getting tag from members of the public, regarding the murder of this victim.
“We are here to let you know that we are aware of the incident and we are investigating it. The Commissioner of Police has mandated the DPO to unravel the incident. However, our interim investigation reveals that the Interim Chairman went to the sand beach where he met the deceased, Sam Onobraigbeye, where they were having arguments as to rights as the chairman, which includes one trailer load of sand and the chairman himself said it is not one it is two, and it resulted to a bloody fight.

“On the 7th of September, the said interim chairman came to the station and reported to the DPO that he had a fight with this very deceased, he came in his pool of blood, had severe injuries on his head and his back and other parts of his body.The DPO in his usual way, issued a medical report form and told him to report to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.
“Later that day the brother to the deceased, one Prince Onobraigbeye came and reported to the DPO that the community chairman assaulted and murdered his brother.
“The DPO quickly went to the hospital where the community chairman was supposed to have gone for treatment and he was told that the community chairman took a very brief treatment and left the hospital. As is stands now, we are still looking for the community chairman who is presently at large.
“The Commissioner of Police, Delta State, CP Abaniwonda S. Olufemi is assuring members of the public that in this case, justice must be served. He has mandated the DPO to go all out to ensure that the fleeing suspect is arrested and the case properly investigated, cause of the fight unraveled and whoever is guilty shall be brought to justice.”
