Oborevwori Unveils ‘MORE Plus’ Campaign Theme
Speaking at the inauguration, Oborevwori described the event as a formal declaration of the APC’s readiness for the 2027 elections.
He said the campaign assignment required sacrifice, discipline, dedication and collective responsibility, rather than the celebration of political appointments.
The governor urged campaign council members to understand and communicate the policies, reforms and achievements of the Tinubu administration and his government in Delta State.
He also cautioned party members against being drawn into confrontational campaigns by opposition parties, insisting that the APC should focus on issues and communicate its message calmly.
Oborevwori highlighted his administration’s MORE Agenda, which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced Security.
He said his government would continue to prioritise infrastructure, education, accessible healthcare, workers’ welfare, youth empowerment and security, while using the dry season to accelerate ongoing projects.
Governor Urges Grassroots Mobilisation Across Delta
Addressing concerns about the composition of the campaign council, Oborevwori acknowledged that not every party leader could be accommodated on the state-level committee.
However, he assured members that their contributions would not be overlooked and directed party leaders to strengthen campaign structures at the local government and ward levels.
He urged the party to take its message to communities and polling units across Delta State, while ensuring that more members were involved in grassroots mobilisation where necessary.
The governor also called for peaceful campaigns and respect for political differences as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
Okowa Sets 2 Million Vote Target for Delta APC
Former Delta State Governor and APC chieftain Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, speaking on behalf of Delta North, urged the party to expand its support base beyond existing members and supporters.
He advocated door-to-door campaigns and sustained engagement with voters, identifying market women, artisans, religious leaders, civil servants, non-indigenes, youths and women as important groups for mobilisation.
Okowa warned that securing an APC ticket was only the beginning of the electoral process, urging party leaders and candidates to set aside personal grievances and work towards a common goal.
He proposed a target of between 1.5 million and two million votes for the APC in Delta State, describing it as achievable through effective organisation, voter mobilisation and protection of votes.
Emerhor Calls for Unity Across Delta’s Three Senatorial Districts
Speaking for Delta Central, APC chieftain Olorogun O’tega Emerhor expressed confidence in Oborevwori’s re-election prospects and commended Delta North and Delta South for supporting the governor, who hails from Delta Central.
Emerhor said the support demonstrated unity within the party and placed a responsibility on Delta Central to reciprocate by delivering substantial votes for the governor in 2027.
He expressed confidence in the district’s mobilisation efforts and pledged support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Emerhor also said Delta Central would work towards delivering victory for the APC’s five National Assembly candidates contesting seats in the district.
He thanked party leaders from Delta North and Delta South for their support and urged APC members to remain united and committed to the party’s electoral objectives.

He emphasised the need for continuous voter engagement, effective grassroots organisation and measures to protect votes on election day.
