Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti remains confident in Kylian Mbappe’s potential despite the French striker’s slow start in LaLiga, reassuring fans that there is no cause for concern after two scoreless league games.
Mbappe, 25, joined the reigning LaLiga and Champions League champions as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain in June, ending years of speculation about his future. While the superstar made an immediate impact by scoring in his debut during Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final, he has yet to find the back of the net in domestic competition.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s LaLiga match against Las Palmas, Ancelotti dismissed any worries about Mbappe’s form. “His last goal was on August 14th. It’s only been two weeks since then, so there’s no reason to worry. Neither the club nor Mbappe himself is concerned,” Ancelotti stated confidently.
Ancelotti emphasized that Mbappe’s integration into the team is progressing smoothly, noting, “He is very happy here, delighted. He wants to score in the next game, just as Vinicius does, who also hasn’t scored this season, and I don’t see him worried either.”
