A business man and car dealer has committed suicide in kilo Surulere area of Lagos State following his inability to recover eight exotic cars, which were sent to him for sale.

The victim, who has been in car sale business for over a decade, was simply identified as Chris and he resided in Olaitan-Kilo Surulere area of Lagos, where he committed the act.

A close associate who spoke to The Trumpet, today over the tragic incident said the late car dealer took his life after dropping a last voice message that a close friend of his had approached him two weeks ago to release the eight cars for him to sell and bring the proceed.

He added that based on trust the late Chris released the eight cars valued at N10 million each to his close friend with the hope that a deal has been struck.

Unfortunately, the late Chris waited for one week without hearing anything and could no longer get in touch even on phone with his friend.

According to him, those cars were sent to Chris from outside the country. Adding that Chris was not the real owner.

So, following the disturbance from the owners of the exotic cars, it dawn on the late Chris that he would not be able to withstand the pressure and explain the disappearances of the vehicles.

The associate further told The Trumpet that the business man decided to drink poisonous substance suspected to be sniper, which cut off all his intestine and he died living his wife and three children to mourn him.

The case has been reported at Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon, Lagos annex who are now on the trail of the suspect who took the cars away from late Chris shop.

“Police are trying to track the suspect based on the last voice message the late car dealer drop before he took his life”. said the associate.

According to him the late Chris, who hails from Agenegbode area of Edo State will be buried this Saturday in Lagos. He described the late car dealer as a gentle man but wondered why he took such a decision to kill himself over lost of Cars instead of reporting the disappearance of the cars and his friend to the police to carry out investigation.
