Several clubs across Europe’s major football leagues have officially been relegated following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
The confirmed relegated sides come from the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1, with some leagues still awaiting final confirmation of the last relegation places.
In England, Burnley FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. have been confirmed relegated from the Premier League after disappointing campaigns.
The final relegation position in the English top flight remains open, with Tottenham Hotspur F.C. and West Ham United F.C. still battling to avoid the drop heading into the final fixtures of the season.
In Spain’s LaLiga, RCD Mallorca, Girona FC, and Real Oviedo have all been relegated after failing to secure survival.

Italy’s Serie A has also confirmed the relegation of Hellas Verona F.C. and Pisa Sporting Club. However, the final relegation spot is still to be decided between U.S. Lecce and U.S. Cremonese.
In Germany, 1. FC Heidenheim and FC St. Pauli have dropped from the Bundesliga after struggling throughout the season.
Meanwhile, in France’s Ligue 1, FC Nantes and FC Metz were unable to avoid relegation.
Relegation from Europe’s top divisions often carries major financial implications for clubs, including reduced broadcasting revenue, sponsorship losses, and the challenge of rebuilding for a return to the top flight.
