BUA Cement Plc has rewarded its top distributors with vehicles, trucks, and cash bonuses worth billions of naira in a move aimed at boosting sales and strengthening its nationwide distribution network.
The company unveiled the incentives at its 2025 Distributors’ Awards ceremony held in Lagos, where 30 high-performing distributors were recognised across multiple categories for their contributions to the company’s growth.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of BUA Cement, Yusuf Binji, said the initiative is designed to reward loyalty, drive performance, and enhance efficiency within the supply chain.
He noted that distributors who recorded exceptional sales volumes were awarded Sports Utility Vehicles, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks, and significant cash prizes, while others received cement allocations and additional incentives.
Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Rabiu, disclosed that the company has set aside about ₦4.5 billion in bonus payments tied to distributors’ 2025 purchase volumes.

He described distributors as critical partners in the company’s value chain, emphasizing their role in expanding market reach and sustaining growth.
Rabiu also highlighted ongoing expansion projects by the company, aimed at increasing production capacity to meet rising demand within Nigeria’s construction sector, which continues to experience steady growth.
The event drew prominent industry stakeholders, including Aliko Dangote, underscoring intensifying competition in the country’s cement industry as major players seek to consolidate market share and improve distribution efficiency.
Industry observers say such incentive-driven strategies could further reshape the competitive landscape, as manufacturers increasingly rely on strong distributor networks to drive penetration and maintain supply consistency across the country.
