He said, “the team will excel at the African Beach Volleyball Championship.

“The boys have been in a closed camp for two weeks; the players are physically and mentally ready.

“I have confidence in the ability of the team.

“Most of the athletes have been busy from the first quarter of the year and the introduction of the National Beach Volleyball Tour is an addition,” Ajilore admitted.

In a statement by Engr Musa Nimrod, President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), he opined that much result should not be expected as the team is currently in a building phase.

Nimrod said that the team have the course to prepare well, hoping they will put in their best.

He said, “The team have prepared well and look forward to a positive outing.

“We pray for success and victory, but we will not say we will win.

“The most important thing is to prepare the prayers. The success is that we are building a new team.

“Even FIVB recognizes NIgeria that we are very strong in under age teams,” he said.
