Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Mercedes, has been evicted from the reality show, becoming the second contestant to leave the ‘Show Ya Sef’ edition.
Mercedes’ eviction was announced by the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, during the live eviction show on Sunday night, August 9, 2026, after she was placed on the list of housemates facing possible eviction in the second week of the competition.
Her departure came shortly after Martins became the first housemate to be evicted from the season. With the two contestants now out of the competition, the number of housemates has dropped from 24 to 22.
Mercedes had featured prominently in the second week of the competition and also made headlines after winning the Arena Games for Week Two.
However, her performance in the house was not enough to secure her a place in the third week of the show.
The eviction adds another twist to the ongoing competition as the remaining housemates continue their quest for the grand prize.
The 2026 edition of Big Brother Naija premiered on July 26, with 24 housemates entering the house to battle for the N160 million grand prize.
