Former Milan and Inter striker, Mario Balotelli, silent booing Galatasaray fans in a Turkish Süper Lig match with Adana Demirspor on Monday at NEF Stadyumu.
Though the match ended 3-2 in favour of Galatasaray, with an edge-of-box effort from the Italian forward hitting the crossbar on one occasion, the 67th-minute freekick kept overwhelming the home fans.
Balotelli, 31, has scored a total of 14 goals in 32 appearances for the club this season in all competitions. He scored his only goal in the Turkish Cup in the 5-0 win against Serik Belediye in the fourth round of the competition.

Despite the result, Monday’s event was very dear to the former Manchester City player due to the scenario that played out when he was about to take the freekick. Dear to his heart to the extent the player had to upload the footage on Twitter.
The 128th and 5th ranked player in Süper Lig and Adana Demirspor respectively, join the Turkish side last summer from Monza, an Italian Serie B team that got promoted to the second tier of Italy’s football division in the 2019-2022 season.
